Meet Karissa Justice. She is a 2-year-old 60-pound Labrador who started this week at the Orleans Parish DA’s Office to help comfort and calm survivors and witnesses. She was trained by nonprofit Canine Companions to do over 40 tasks including methods of reducing anxiety. One of her tasks is to drape herself over the lap of the person.
