Medical misdiagnoses kill or disable nearly 800,000 people in the U.S. every year, according to new research from Johns Hopkins. Peter Pitts, a former FDA associate commissioner, says patients have to be part of the solution and ask doctors what other options they've looked at when they're given a diagnosis.
