Track history. Suspense, electricity, hope, uncertainty, gratitude, nervousness, excitement, all of this and knowing that this could have been the end of an era. We know that this was Allyson’s final Olympic Games, and we knew it would be tough for her to medal in the 400m. Allyson was coming back from having a baby and pushing hard on the track to get back up to speed. This was the Olympic semi finals of the womens 400 meters, and we know that it would have to take probably a 49 second time to get one of the two automatics spots into the final.
