In honor of #NationalMothWeek, the Yellow woolly bear 🐛 aka Virginian Tiger Moth is a moth species in the subfamily Arctiinae. They have a wingspan of about 1.2 to 2.04 inches and can be spotted mainly across the Commonwealth from May to November. It is not poisonous, but some people may be allergic to the bristles on its body.
