🚜 Next up in our mid-year debrief, let's talk about building schools. Our goal is to construct 2 new primary school blocks this year, and we are proud to say that BOTH are currently under construction! 🏫 These two new school blocks, one in the Chiwinga community of Malawi, and one in the Manegekoma community in Burkina Faso, will provide over 700 students with safe, productive, and empowering learning environments. 🙏 We are deeply grateful for our construction partner buildon , as well as the residents from both communities for their commitment and hard work because we do not build schools for communities, but WITH communities. 👏 From mobilizing community volunteers, to collecting sufficient gravel and sand to make concrete, to transporting heavy materials, to committing to sending both their boys AND girls to school, the community members have demonstrated their commitment to education. 🧡 It's so encouraging to have role models like these for the students who will soon be ...
