In the powerhouse 7A GHSA class, Milton has surprised many by advancing out of their bracket division to play in the semifinal against the Georgia #1 Mill Creek Hawks. For Mill Creek, it has been business as usual, Caleb Downs has looked like a stud through his 2022 senior campaign and looks to be the next great 5 star from Georgia. The Mill Creek 2023 grad class has led the Hawks to a large victory margin through most of their games in their state run. With their only regular season loss coming to Buford, and with Buford out of the state finals with a loss to Walton, the 7A class looks to be a wide open road to a Mill Creek state title.
