⭐Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Kassidy Lueken from Brawley! She is the first Girl Scout from Imperial Valley to earn the award in nine years. Her project, “Helping Hands in Imperial Valley,” helped the many homeless individuals in her community by making face coverings in collaboration with Brawley Feed the Need. She also educated people on the 2-1-1 service, which helps those in need find shelters and emergency services. Kassidy credits her memorable Girl Scout experiences and training for taking her out of her comfort zone to support other people. In the fall, she will be moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Read more about Kassidy’s story and her Gold Award journey in the @calexicochronicle. Link in bio.
