When I first received this shirt as a gift from onetosavemany about a year ago I remember telling burnitbrent “I love the idea, but I don’t know if I can wear it. Isn’t ‘Vegan As Fuck’ just a little too much?” . If this shirt offends you, if the word “vegan” or “fuck” offends you, I’m sorry. That’s not the goal. Awareness is the goal. 70 billion or so animals slaughtered per year offends me. Seeing mothers have their babies ripped away at birth offends me. The loss of ecosystems and nature to create animal farm land offends me. More than a word ever could. Call me stupid. Call me brainwashed. But, if we have Holocaust survivors going vegan in the 1940s because they “understood what the cows were going through in their final moments” I am pretty sure we can all do better almost a century later.
