Bandits Royalty 👑 4-time ABL Champion Donald Lutz has announced his retirement from professional baseball. With an illustrious career stretching over 962 games both internationally and in the ABL. Donald made his major league debut for the Cincinnati Reds in 2013, becoming the first German raised player to play in the majors. Donald Lutz helped lead the Bandits to their first modern ABL championship and was named Series MVP. He continued on to help the Bandits win 4 consecutive ABL championships and in 2017/18, along with TJ Bennett, broke the single season homerun record with 16 homeruns. Off the field Donald is passionate about growing the game of baseball in Queensland and helping the development of junior ball players.
