When I was approached just a little over two years about working for the organization I just thought it was a fun opportunity to make some content at a basketball tournament. I learned over that next month and over the week of the tournament that it was so much more than that. I learned the story of Danny Rumph at what he meant to so many people in the Philadelphia area and how his tragic death impacted so many people, which is the story behind the Danny Rumph foundation. Danny died due to a sudden cardiac arrest while playing pickup basketball with friends. It was later found he had a condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. A cause was born and Danny’s story would begin to be shared all over. The daniel_e_rumph_ii_foundation raises awareness for this condition as well as other potential causes of cardiac arrest.
