Our #FirstieFriday for this week is C1C Marcus Ross from CS-25. Ross is from Galesburg, Illinois, and served as an enlisted maintainer prior to applying to the Academy. He said he wanted to become the kind of officer he enjoyed serving with – a great metric.    Ross is majoring in electrical engineering and hopes to secure a pilot training slot but isn’t married to the idea of any particular airframe.    “What I like most about the Academy is the number of lifelong friends I have come to know here and the beautiful view we get to wake up to every morning,” he said.    Ross joined the U.S Air Force Parachute Team with many of his best friends and is currently a demonstrator for the @usaf_wingsofblue and the Team Commander.    Advice for success at the Academy: don’t wait until the last minute to work on assignments even if you got away with it in the past and work hard your 4-degree year so you’re not playing catch up the rest of your time at the Academy. #YourAcademy
