Abdulmalik Ariyo, another graduate of the Prep School Class of 2020, immigrated to the U.S. with his family from Lagos, Nigeria, in 2010. ⁣ ⁣ He was member of Air Force JROTC all four years of high school, during which he was awarded a Flight Academy Scholarship. He was a student athlete who ran track.⁣ ⁣ He credits his JROTC leadership with first introducing him to the Academy after seeing his love for aviation and his leadership potential, but said it wouldn’t have been possible without his parents. “My parents are my biggest supporters — from driving me to practice to making sure I was on top of my academics.” ⁣ Abdulmalik’s goal is to become a fighter pilot, in particular he hopes to fly the A-10. #2024⁣ @therealpapi.abdul
