REUNITED AFTER TRAGEDY: This is Roman. Roman suffered burns to his paws, legs, back and body during the Lahaina fires after he was separated from his dog sitter. The Maui Humane Society said instead of jumping into the waters with his sitter, the "terrified" dog ran down Front Street. Fortunately, the organization was able to reunite him with his owners days later. "Roman is just the first of many stories we hope to share about pets being reunited with their owners during this tragedy.
