“Reflecting on my journey from school to becoming a GP trainee, I am reminded that one of the most significant reasons why I decided to undertake leadership roles was to show others that it is possible to overcome obstacles and achieve their aspirations no matter their background.” It’s South Asian Heritage Month and this year we’re sharing the stories of our GPs, by honouring their contributions to the medical field and to embrace the rich diversity within our community of South Asian GPs. Dr Sahan Samaraweera is a GP trainee from Sri Lanka and AiT Network Vice Chair. He has shared his story with us on his plans to inspire future leaders and create an inclusive healthcare environment. Discover more about Sahan in his blog. Link in bio 🔍 #SouthAsianHeritageMonth #StoriesToTell #RCGP
