Use “Summer Internship Inquiry” in your subject line. Customize your cover letter for the business you are applying to. Double-check that you are sending the right email to the right company. Use a spreadsheet to track your emails and replies. Send out letters in mid-March. PORTFOLIO Make a PDF and a website. Make sure your website functions well on mobile. Include 7 projects in your PDF, no more than 20 pages. Make the first project count. Compress your PDF to under 10MG and customize it for the job you are applying for.
