the_farmette summer camps have been a huge sold-out success this season! We’re in the fourth, and final, session bursting with activity on our lush school farm 🌱☀️ Everyday the campers are outdoors on the farm and in the dirt, caring for our chickens + goats, harvesting and playing. We make a farm-to-table snack daily. Some days are a hike on Cherry Creek trails or river water play catching toads and crawfish. Some days we have visits from senior residents for a farm craft project. Some days are eating homemade popsicles and building fairy gardens. And some days we’re catching bugs, studying leaf shapes, and doing nature scavenger hunts. Each week has a focused project utilizing our indoor Makerspace - building birdhouses, 3D string art, paper mache plant lanterns, and mosaic gardens stones have kept kids super hands on making their own creations each week. #denverjds #farmcamp #outdoorlearning
