(Part 1 / 4) Meet Rahinata, one of the students in our ‘Education Is Power’ program from the community of Kouglapaka in Burkina Faso. At the age of 22, Rahinata is older than most of the other students in her Grade 10 class, but, as you can see by her calm and bright smile, she doesn’t let that bother her. Rahinata is young at heart, being the last born of her 9 siblings, and proud to be the only person in her family, including her parents, to attend secondary school. She is also a highly focused student, intent on passing her exams, especially in math and science, so that she can pursue her dream career as a nurse. Rahinata tells us, “I do not like playing around. I want to be focused so that I can succeed.
