I’m alive! I just haven’t sent a newsletter update since June 2nd.😬 I’ve been trying to figure out how to express what has been going on in some of the dark moments over the last 2 months. The newsletter I sent out this morning is definitely the most personal and vulnerable update I’ve published and I was definitely a little nervy pressing “send” on it. What inspired me to share what I could was reading fleshmanflyer’s book, “Good for a Girl” where she captures so much of what it means to be an athlete and a human. Her storytelling is so beautiful and she makes sure to give her readers as much detail as possible about the dark and twisty places that we all go during challenging times. I believe this makes the connection between athlete and fan infinitely stronger as we can all see the humanity in the experiences.
