From acting in movies to the rodeo arena, Phil Lyne is a true all- around cowboy. After being named the 1969 Resistol Rookie of the Year, Lyne quickly made a name for himself competing at the PRCA level in five events – bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping and steer wrestling. Lyne won a total of five world titles in three different events without his rodeo career. This year, he was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in honor of his exceptional rodeo career.
