Prosecutors in the case against a Utah mom accused of killing her husband — then writing a book about grief — will not seek the death penalty. They say the decision was made after consulting with the husband's family.
Trial Attorney Donte Mills says justice can look different for different people.
"Some families believe if there's a death penalty she gets to move on, or transition, and they would rather her sit in prison for the remainder of her life," Mills said.
