CCT’s Executive Director and Development Manager had the privilege of attending another Black Philanthropy Month event hosted by ngaap_charlotte
Speaker Dr. Una Osili, Professor at Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, presented key findings from the newly released 2023 Giving USA: The Annual Report on Philanthropy (the longest-running, most extensive report on philanthropy in the U.S.) as well as data from the new Donor of Color Study.
Two things are clear: Black people and families, on average, continue to give more to nonprofits as a percentage of their annual income, and they continue to choose causes that are personal and meaningful to their experiences.
