I remember asking my cousin Tara for the Rob Base tape for Christmas and the first time I heard the effortless flows of MC Lyte. I remember learning to do the Humpty Dance with my cousins and asking my cousin to hide the Snoop Dogg cd in my mom’s planter, so I could take it with me on a ski trip.
