An otherworldly supercell thunderstorm swirled near Boise City, Oklahoma, as storms moved through the panhandle on August 5, 2023. These types of clouds are sometimes called "ufo clouds" or "mothership clouds." Footage of the impressive supercell was captured by storm chaser Russell Gallagher, who also posted a photo of the storm saying it was the best photo he’s ever taken.
