“The Adventures of Conan: A Sword and Sorcery Spectacular” was a live-action stage show that took place at Universal Studios Hollywood from 1983 to 1993. Set in a 2,200-seat indoor theater, it was a thrilling 18-minute attraction similar to other action performances at the park. Loosely inspired by the film “Conan the Barbarian,” the show featured a ruined temple setting filled with treasures. In the storyline, a young Cimmerian named Conan descended onto the stage to loot the temple’s riches. However, his attention was captured by the Dragon’s Eye, a powerful artifact, until an old wizard named Kallias intervened. Kallias revealed that the Dragon’s Eye imprisoned the evil wizard Taras-Mordor, sealed away by Kallias and the Sword of Crom. A moment of intrigue led to Red Sonja freeing Taras-Mordor, setting off a chain of events. Kallias and Mordor engaged in a magical duel, resulting in Mordor destroying Kallias.
