With Team 7 moving in tomorrow, it’s time to officially close the chapter on Team 6. 10 pictures could never sum up or do this dream team justice, but it gives the glimpse into this unicorn season. Not only did Team 6 win a back to back championship, they did it at home AGAIN and in another heart attack fashion in OT (this program loves making the winning exciting!!) They went toe to toe with the defending national champs, showing the D2 field hockey world that this little school from South Carolina belonged with the PA and northeast elite. They brought national relevance and ranking to a program that was only 6 years old, remaining in the top 10 all 11 weeks of the national poll, the only team from the SAC to do so. They went 17-2, following up on an amazing team 5 season with an EVEN BETTER season 6, proving this success was earned and no accident.
