Earlier today Sha’Carri Richardson set a new world championship record in the women’s 100 meter race, running a 10.65 time, making her the fifth fastest female to ever run the 100 meter race. The day before the final, she gave an interview about no longer needing the world’s approval. It was just two years ago Sha’Carri was suspended and kept from competing at the Tokyo Olympics after testing positive for marijuana use.
