If you are 16 or older, you can become a poll worker! You’ll be paid $150 total to work the polls on Election Day & participate in a 2-hour training session. Get info & sign up at your county elections office. Why be a poll worker? You’ll get to actively participate in our democratic elections process & will become an in-the-trenches expert at this process. When people question our elections, you will have first-hand knowledge about how our elections are run to ensure they are safe & secure. Young poll workers have corrected legislators’ misconceptions during testimony in legislative hearings. As a poll worker, you will help citizens cast their all-important votes that determine who will represent them. Idaho’s next Election Day is May 16 & trainings are offered April 18-27.
