“My dad is my hero,” Jay Canlas said. “He immigrated from the Philippines back in the 1970s with no education.” Jay’s father instilled in him a sense of service and pride in everything he does – values that guided Jay through school and through a career with the U.S. Coast Guard. Values that are still strong in his work volunteering with the USO, and as technical product manager, Compute Cloud Services, at HPE. Jay has been given praise at HPE for work he considers just doing his job. “What might have appeared as going above and beyond was actually a practice we had normalized within our team, aiming to consistently deliver results and enabling our solutions,” he said.
