This week’s #ArtistOnTheRise is c.tangana , the Spanish singer/rapper bringing a new flare to the latin scene. * * Formerly known as “Crema” the enigmatic artist started to make noise in Madrid’s underground rap scene while being a part of the group Agorazein in 2006 but things never really took off the way it was supposed to. * * After a few years out of the public eye, in 2012 he returned with his new name and a new sound. One that bridges traditional Spanish and Latin music with EDM, trap and Hip-Hop. It was the summer anthem “Antes de Morirme” that featured flamenco rising star Rosalia which ended up catapulting him into popular consciousness here in Miami as well as New York and other parts of the US. * * He’s dropped a handful of singles since then including the banger “Booty” with Becky G and Alizzz which has over a 100 million plays on Spotify.
