In an effort to thank essential workers serving and caring for people on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, #LoveFromPGH is working with residents and business owners to light up Pittsburgh and participate in a minute of applause Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. Organizing under the hashtag #LOVEFROMPGH, lights are flickering on from apartment building balconies to Heinz Field to show appreciation for workers. The event is planned to go on weekly going forward. "Our goal is really, besides thanking the essential workers, to create a sense of community," said organizer Evelyn Castillo, who made a heart of lights in her Squirrel Hill window for the event. 🔊 Video by Post-Gazette Visuals Staff / Edited by @cjsnyder
