Election Day has not been without its hiccups in Pittsburgh.
A polling place in Squirrel Hill failed to open on time when the judge of elections had a personal emergency and could not open the poll.
At least 30 people were waiting outside at Carnegie Library’s Squirrel Hill branch at Murray and Forbes avenues.
Voting eventually started at 8:15 a.m. on emergency paper ballots that had to be delivered to the polling place. “This is like a slap in the face,” said one voter who was forced to wait over an hour due to the confusion.
