Malik Smith pauses on Friday at a memorial assembled in memory of his friend Jihad Cromer, 18, who was shot and killed three days earlier. The memorial, at a basketball court in McKees Rocks' Hays Manor, included stuffed animals, notes, balloons and candles. Jihad, a former Sto-Rox High School basketball player, died Tuesday.
