Eight Bay Area counties — Alameda (including the City of Berkeley), Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano and Sonoma — announced on Wednesday that they will lift indoor mask requirements for most public spaces starting Feb. 16. This means that nearly all of the Bay Area will be aligned with the state's new masking guidance, which also goes into effect Feb. 16.
