Yesterday, Navy Hockey members Justin Carl of navymenshockey and Kirsta Wheelock of navywomenshockey participated in a 3-hour long shift for the 11-Day Power Play in Buffalo, NY. They both played for the team “Jabs for Life - FLY with JJ” in honor of Jason Jablonski, a valued and influential member of the Navy Men’s Hockey team who lost his life on November 27, 2016 due to complications with leukemia. Jason’s unwavering spirit through his battle birthed the Navy hockey motto, “Win Every Battle”, which is inscribed in the collar of our jerseys and worn on the back of our shirts. His #7 jersey can be seen on the bench at every game. Jason’s legacy lives on in the Navy Hockey community and his irreplaceable impact on the team will never be forgotten.
