This is a condition know as Torticollis (twisted neck) usually secondary to vertebral spine subluxation (miss-aligned vertebrae).Most common leading factors of such condition is when patients sleep with any sort of breeze on e.g. fan, A/C, open window that would get the muscles to be cold enough to go under spastic mode where the joints attached to these muscles are directly affected. Decrease range of motion (mobility) is limited. Pain is yet to come after. It involved the nerves and muscles of the surrounding area of going into spastic mode. we usually advise the patient to avoid stretching it because it would make the condition worse.
