ICYMI: last night, skywatchers were treated to a
#superbluemoon, a rare combination of two unusual lunar events. A "supermoon" occurs when the moon is full at the closest point to Earth in its elliptical orbit, appearing about 14% larger than usual. A "blue moon" is simply the second full moon in a single month - it has nothing to do with color. The next "super blue moon" will occur in January 2037!
