There is no one right way to do this, and it also wasn’t an overnight decision. I worked my butt off and made a lot of sacrifices to make sure I prepared myself (to the extent of my knowledge) before pulling the trigger — fine tuning a skill set, meeting my savings goals, working on mental health, and networking with people within this space.
