Here at UNH, research powers undergraduate education. Meet some students who received summer funding from our unhhamelcenter to work alongside faculty mentors on projects that helped them discover the world and make it better. Philosophy major Kieran Newcomb explored the use of AI in judicial deliberation. He’s mentored by Nick Smith, professor of philosophy. Sabby Clemmons, an electrical and computer engineering major, worked with assistant professor MD Shaad Mahmud to research geomagnetic induced current sensors and machine learning. With her mentor Remington Moll, assistant professor of natural resources and the environment, Elora McCay monitored mammals across New Hampshire. She’s a wildlife and conservation biology major.
