Athlete Highlight... Ally Laverty is a Sophomore Golf athlete from Kansas City, Missouri, majoring in Social Media Marketing. When discussing why she decided to come to Graceland, Ally communicated that “it seemed to be a close-knit community and a welcoming environment.” Additionally, the opportunity to play golf made the decision even easier. Ally feels the golf team has provided her with “some of her best friends,” and she believes that there is “nothing better than being able to form those lifelong relationships while playing the game we all love.” The primary goal that Ally has for the season this year includes a top 5 finish in at least one tournament, but she also strives to focus on her mindset and growing that side of her game. While Ally still has a couple of years to decide what to do after graduation, she is currently deciding whether to go to graduate school or enter the workforce with a marketing company’s digital advertising team.
