Welcome back Coach Kunkel❗️ Derek is back with the BBL Shore family! A standout in high school, Coach Kunkel helped lead Long Island powerhouse Ward Melville to three state championship games between the pipes. A 2x state champion (‘97 & ‘99), coach earned MVP of the New York State championship game at the end of the ‘98 and ‘99 seasons. Coach then took his talents up to Amherst, competing for the UMass Minutemen who he led to two NCAA D1 quarterfinals. Coach Kunkel has worked with local programs since he moved to NJ and is a big part of Little Silver Lacrosse. Coach has experience at all levels, from developing little guys all the way through the varsity level. It’s safe to say when coach Kunkel talks, all should listen!
