Basketball was my first love. My dad played in Italy and never once forced me to pick up a ball, but I just couldn’t stay away. “The sound of the ball on the hardwood floor, the sound of the ball through the net”. I never thought losing one of my childhood icons would make me feel this way. Never been one to be moved by celebrities passing. This one has hit hard though.
