We're all about functional training here and the Turkish Get Up is one exercise we love. It's a full-body strength exercise that engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously including the legs, hips, core, shoulders and arms. It mimics real-life activities like getting up from the ground with a heavy object and improves your balance, coordination, mobility, and mental focus. The full exercise takes practice but it can be broken down into segments. Once you master a segment, add another then another until you can perform the entire exercise. Start with no weight (or hold a yoga block) and gradually increase once you've got it. . .
