My very first metal concert two years ago was headlined by butcherbabies , obviously it kickstarted a whole obsession haha. I was really excited to draw this for my third time seeing them, this time opening for the legendary Mudvayne. I always like to sprinkle in as many song references as I can and often the piece comes out looking completely different than my original vision, but not this one. After cycling through a couple of ideas, I decided to focus in on two songs: “Red Thunder” and “Last December”.
