This work is well over a year old now but is definitely one of my favorites and has a lot of meaning behind it. I created it in the first place after seeing Shang Chi, which was so damn good, but left me wanting a brown superhero even more than I typically do. Having representation in Hollywood is something beyond important to me since it’s something I rarely had growing up, and I’m so happy that young Asian and black kids will get to have Black Panther and Shang Chi as role models and icons to look up too. However, I couldn’t help but wish there was a South Asian equivalent.
