After an early 11 a.m. kickoff, Virginia Football defeated Illinois 42-12 Saturday. The Cavaliers (2-0, 0-0 ACC) jumped out to an early lead, making it to the end zone twice before the Fighting Illini (1-2, 1-0 Big Ten) even gained a first down. To commemorate the 20th anniversary since the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001, the game also featured a fly-over by two alumni and patriotic performance by the Cavalier Marching Band. 📸 Photos by Khuyen Dinh.
