You MUST bathe thoroughly with soap before entering the pools ♨️all onsens are different, but many have hot and very hot pools, a sauna, and a cold plunge for post sauna ♨️ give yourself a quick rinse after the sauna before cold plunging ♨️ traditionally tattoos are forbidden in the onsen, but many are becoming more lax with the rules.
