A Washington state family is suing Wells Fargo and the Navy Federal Credit Union after a veteran allegedly lost millions of dollars in a wire fraud scheme.
Larry Cook suffered a stroke, and his family says he was eventually duped into an elaborate phishing scam, wiring money over 70 times in six months. A legal complaint alleges Navy Federal Credit Union sent millions of dollars to a foreign bank, despite being notified that Cook was a victim of a scam.
Cook's niece Janine Satterfield talked about the lawsuit on NewsNation's "Morning in America."
