I hope you can find some calm in the chaos this week. Take a moment to relax and focus on your breath.
Focusing on your breath can be the simplest mindfulness practice that exists. This particular breathing practice, alternate nostril breath, helps me to be extremely present. I like to imagine all of my worries, repetitive thoughts and stress flowing away from me, like leaves on a stream.
If you have some aromatherapy oil, now’s a great time to use it. Apply it to your hands and get started with a few deep breaths. You can follow along with me here, or just find a comfortable position, close your eyes and focus on your breath and the aroma.
Sit for as long as you like. Even if you choose a different breathing practice, just focus on the air filling your lungs and releasing any tension or stress when you exhale.
