Can’t believe no one mentioned Fouta on our story yesterday for fav halal places in the Bronx! Fouta has mouth-watering plates for amazing prices. You can stop by for lunch or dinner. They serve traditional West-African cuisine using all halal meat. We went during lunch and unfortunately they were out of chicken items, so we opted for the Cheebu Jen and Mafe. Both were incredibly delicious, aromatic, and so rich. The jollof rice was A1 and the red snapper just soaked up all that flavor. The Mafe just had a little too much oil for our liking but nothing a spoon can’t fix. Each dish was $14 and food comes out immediately since it’s already prepared in the back for lunch.
