This week, we’re celebrating #HealthcareSimulationWeek by highlighting the MedStar Health Simulation Training and Education Lab (SiTEL) team. MedStar Health SiTEL runs related programming for the more than 32,000 clinical and nonclinical associates across our system, providing hands-on learning opportunities and realistic scenario exercises to support staff education and training. From athletic fields, to the mobile simulation lab “truck” (pictured below), to hospitals and other care locations, the MedStar Health SiTEL team ensures that associates can practice technical skills, clinical decision-making, protocol application, and more in safe and innovative training environments. Simulation programs led by MedStar Health SiTEL allow us to put patients first—by ensuring we don’t try first on patients.
